When I was a young aspiring actor in NYC in 1988, I had a steady job as a receptionist at Journal Graphics, Transcripts for Talk Shows. Feeling financially stable, I decided to adopt a pet. A visit to the North Shore Animal League introduced me to a beautiful red Doberman. Our connection was immediate and profound, but learning about her past injury and potential future needs, I made the heartbreaking decision to leave her in hopes that a family with a yard and children could provide her a better life.
