EASTER MOSAIC

Drawing inspiration from a few neglected sketches tucked away in one of my old sketchbooks, I created a painting titled Easter Mosaic—a piece that explores themes of faith, devotion, and the power of sacrifice. Using vibrant hues and dramatic backgrounds, I set out to create something spiritually resonant and visually dynamic.

What makes Easter Mosaic unique is its intentional design. The composition can be rotated and displayed in multiple orientations, offering different visual perspectives—yet always maintaining one traditional orientation of the cross. In essence, it offers four distinct paintings in one.

Keeping the core focus of the cross centered enough that any way you hang the piece it stays centered is magnificent.

After its debut at my February 2024 exhibition, Easter Mosaic struck a deep chord with attendees. Many people told me how strongly the work resonated with them—enough that I was moved to create a limited series of museum-quality reproductions.

Measuring 24” x 36”, these canvas reproductions authentically capture the vibrancy and feeling of the original oil painting. Each one is signed, numbered, and crafted to last, making it a meaningful addition to any art collection.

The original stirred my soul. The reproduction is just as brilliant.

Whether you hang it in a private space for reflection or as a centerpiece in your home, Easter Mosaic is the kind of work that invites quiet contemplation—and I believe it has the potential to become a cherished heirloom.

I see a lot of things in this and it just resonates with me.

If you’re curious to learn more, I’ve put together a short video about the painting that you can watch here. And as always, if you have questions or want to share your thoughts, I’d love to hear from you—on Instagram, Facebook, or by email.

Thank you for being the best part of Sharp Art Studio.
